Dogs, cats, rabbits, and certain birds are subject to importation authorisations granted by each individual country. Please check with an authoritative source concerning importation laws of any new country to which you wish to take your pet. Always take the International Rabies Certificate for dogs and cats when you take them across a border. These are available from any veterinarian.
Persons bringing in dogs, cats, or rabbits from abroad are required to present a veterinary certificate, passport and chip, issued in their district of residence, stating that the animal has been vaccinated against rabies not less than 30 days and not more than one year prior to crossing the border.
If sending your pets abroad, you will need vaccinations same as Import, a vet certificate 7-10 days before departure stating the good health of your pet. The Suisse or EU passport.

REX guidelines to dimensions of Live Animal Containers in relation to size of animal(s), within which they are to be transported (an example for a dog) MEASURE PET from the paws to the top of the ears. Add minimum 8cm and you have the height of the crate. Example: Labrador paws to top of ears = 68cm add + 8 = 76, the container you will select is the 102x69x76cm. Please make sure you your always measure right, you do not want to arrive at the check-in to find out the animal will not board as he is to big for the container. Also be aware your container is in agreement with IATA rules.
- Measure your pet
Review the documents you have already. A pet passport, the rabies and other vaccinations to see if they are current. Minimum for all pets is rabies and standard DHPP or equivalent. Very important to always make sure these were given after the implant of the chip. Any vaccinations done prior to chip are invalid. Some countries with more strict policies will require rabies blood test such as Singapore, Uk, Australia, New Zealand, Israel and many others. This is a 2 month minimum process so be aware. REX country procedures will review this with you.
